 Originating
in the Far East, Sic Bo has become a very popular game
with many online casinos offering it to their members.
Whilst it may look complicated, it is actually extremely
simple and very exiting to play. Sic Bo is a similar
game to that of Roulette, but bets are made on the outcome
of three dice. Like Roulette, the player has a variety
choices when placing bets on the table. These are as
follows:
Single Number Bets
This bet can be made on any number from 1 to 6 and is
placed on the bottom line of numbers on the table (see
picture above). If any one of the three dice shows the
number upon which the bet was made, the player wins
1 to 1. If two of the dice show that number, the bet
is paid out at 2 to 1. If all three dice show the number,
the player wins the bet at 3 to 1.
Two Number Combinations
This is a bet that allows the player to wager on any
two number combinations and is placed on the table just
above the line where single number bets are made. If
the player wagers on a 1 and 4 combination and the rolled
dice show the numbers 1, 4 and 5 (or any other number),
the bet is won at 5 to 1. If, however, a 1, 4, 1 (or
a 4, 1, 4) three dice combination is rolled, the bet
is won twice because there are two ways in which the
1 and 4 combination can be made. This results in the
winning bet being paid at 10 to 1.
Three Number Totals
The player is able to bet on the combined total of all
three dice. The odds on this bet vary according to how
many combinations can be used to make a particular number.
The odds are as follows:
Total of 4 or 17, odds of 50 to 1.
Total of 5 or 16, odds of 25 to 1.
Total of 6 or 15, odds of 15 to 1.
Total of 7 or 14, odds of 10 to 1.
Total of 8 or 13, odds of 6 to 1.
Total of 9, 10, 11 or 12, odds of 5 to 1.
Pair Bets
Players can bet on a pair of numbers being shown on
the rolled dice. If the pair they bet on comes up, the
player wins at 11 to 1.
Triple Bets and Any Triple Bets
This bet allows the player to wager on three of the
same numbers being shown on the rolled dice. If the
triple chosen by the player is rolled, the bet is won
at 150 to 1. If the player places an 'Any Triple Bet',
then if any same three numbers are rolled, the bet is
won at 25 to 1.
Small or Large Number Bets
The player can wager on all three dice totalling 4 to
10 (Small Number Bet) or 11 to 17 (Large Number Bet).
Winning bets are paid at 1 to 1. However, if any triple
is rolled the player will lose the bet regardless of
whether it is a 'small' or 'large' number.
